Aside from this, our SP-005 glass pad uses a unique etching process that creates a layer onto the surface, to not only provide perfect tracking information for your mouse’s sensor, but to also provide extreme glide precision and smoothness compared to a cloth mouse pad. Since it’s hardened glass, the consistency of the surface will be unmatched, making it stand the test of time with significantly longer lifespan than cloth.

What’s new in SP-005 vs. previous generations (like SP-004)?

The SP-005 builds upon the foundation of the SP-004 with enhancements across nearly every aspect. It features thinner glass, more ergonomic and refined edges, a slightly larger surface area, and an improved silicone base for enhanced stability. Even the surface, though visually and texturally similar to the SP-004, now has been updated to deliver greater production consistency and precision.

How durable is glass?

Our mouse pads are built using chemically tempered glass — the same ion-exchange process used in safety glass — making them extremely resistant to cracks, chips, and long-term wear. Even though we’ve made the glass thinner for ergonomics, it’s tougher than ever. The surface is also stain-proof and immune to issues like edge fraying or humidity damage that affect cloth pads.

What is included with the SP-005 purchase?

Every SP‑005 comes with a Protective Carry Case featuring a structured outer shell and soft EVA lining to safeguard your pad. A Maintenance Kit is also included, containing a microfiber cloth and two sets of skates, so you can fine-tune glide and keep performance consistent over time.
